Become a Mentor: All it takes is 30 minutes a week! Oconee County is looking for mentors to work with students in grades K-12!
Although not required, it can include tutoring, lunch/breakfast, or attending school activities. Mentoring is just being an

Senior Grocery Bag Distribution: Presently, we are serving 36 seniors through a collaboration with Oconee
Area Resource Council, Action Inc, and HandsOn NEGA. We are collecting non-perishables to distribute monthly to these seniors.

TRI to Beat Cancer: Athens, GA first
triathlon in 18 years! The event will be held on August 29th, 2010 from 7:00 - 10:00 AM at Sandy Creek Park . All proceeds will
benefit the Cancer Foundation of Northeast Georgia's Financial Assistance Program. The program provides assistance to cancer patients
who are experiencing a financial crisis due to their cancer diagnosis and treatment. Please plan to to attend the event or volunteer!
Honorary Chair is Vince Dooley. Triathalon will include : 400 meter lake swim, 16 mile bike with rolling hills,5K run through
