Adopt A Family 2023 is a wrap! We couldn’t have done without so many of you. It’s hard to put into words what Adopt A Family means for our families, but this message we received sums it up well! “I’m speechless at the generosity of you all, and the community. I had no idea at what all we’d receive, to think of something like cooking spray. Wow! I’m shocked. I can’t express how thankful and blessed we are. You all definitely took a lot of worry from me and I’m very grateful. I’m now excited for Christmas as before today I was kinda dreading it. I can’t wait to do the box of things with her and to see her face when I show her those things and Christmas morning.

While we have funding, we still need your help!

  • Volunteering during November and December – Families, individuals, small businesses, and offices who have adopted children in the past, and civic organizations are welcome to sign-up.

  • Giving through sponsorships –  OARC has many sponsorship opportunities available for holiday giving that are perfect for both individuals and businesses. We are happy to send acknowledgements if you would like to give in honor of a loved one during the holiday season. Sponsors also receive recognition on OARC social media.
  • Student Sponsor – Provide funding for weekly Food for Kids bags for students.
    • $30 sponsors a child for a month
    • $270 sponsors a child for the school year
  • Milk Sponsor – Provide funding for 180 students to receive shelf stable milk in their FFK bags.
    • $75 sponsors milk for half of our students for one week
    • $150 sponsors milk for all of our students for one week
    • $600 sponsors milk for a month
  • Fruit Sponsor – Provide funding for a second piece of fresh fruit in FFK bags.
    • $50 sponsors fresh fruit for half of our students for one week
    • $100 sponsors fresh fruit for all of our students for one week
    • $400 sponsors fresh fruit for all our students for one month

     

  • Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Sponsor –
    Provide funding for one child to receive a new book each month in the mail.
